Mermaid's Launch Spring 2015

We finished building a new mast for the 1957 Sparkman & Stephens ketch "Mermaid." This new spar is 56 feet long and made of Sitka spruce. She’ll be sporting her new mast in the Penobscot Bay this summer, and racing as usual in and around New England. Here she is being launched with the new mast.
